Sherry is partly correct the bell tower was bulit by Robert E Lehmann is honor of his winning race horses. The tower is 499 feet tall just below the height limit for a beacon. Dust Commander was the 1970 Kentucky Derby Winner. The family bought the farm in the 1960′s and had many great horses in the 60′s, 70′s and 80′s. Mr Lehmann’s family still resides in the Paris KY area and his widow Verna Lehmann still survives.

You’ve hit on it! Optimum Feng Shui is not so simple as folks would have you believe. But, if we do not take into account the Feng Shui of your house, or the surrounding landscape, you can expect the hens to do well with a south facing house. Just make sure their coop has the door in the center front.

The coop is in the 7 mountain 4 time 1 water area of our house.
For the coop chart though, I’ve faced it for an 8 water star to enter at the door and they lay in the 7 mountain. So, they’re talkative and very productive!

Where did you put the chickens coop? I have been looking into garden feng shui to work out where I should place a chicken coop but cant find anything!!!

Sherry Woodram gave me an answer to the “What the heck is this thing?”
“There are a few towery type structures out this way but the most prominent to folks new to the area is the bell tower on the old Golden Chance Farm. It was built many years ago as part of a monument (that includes a mausoleum) to old Mr. Lehman whose family owned the farm for around a century. The bell tower is still functional I believe and one can climb up into it for awesome views around the area. The property is now named Oxbow Farm and owned by Art Preston.” Thanks, Sherry!
